Hi, I'm Sophie!

The first time I was pregnant, I thought my body would just know how to give birth. I thought I needed to be strong for labour and my midwife told me I'd instinctively know what to do. But I didn't. Instead I felt lost and disorientated.

And after my baby was born, I learned about all the things I could have done during pregnancy to make birth less difficult. I learned how letting go of tension and lengthening the pelvic floor can make birth easier. How different movements and positions can either support of hinder birth. How there are different ways of pushing that can either injure OR protect the pelvic floor. And how ALL of this can easily be learned during pregnancy in preparation for birth.

And so with a loooong background in movement and movement teaching, and a passion for birth and mothers, I created the Movement for Birth workshop. So that every mama who wants to, can learn how to prepare her body for birth. To make giving birth easier and more gentle for both her baby and her body.
