This workshop is ALL about how to create an accurate connection with your pelvic floor. How your pelvic floor relates to back pain, hip pain, and leaking, how to locate your pelvic floor, release it and activate it. Why your pelvic floor matters!

The Pelvic Floor workshop is appropriate for both PREnatal and POSTnatal mama's, even if you're many years post birth. It's NEVER too late to learn how movement impacts your pelvic floor.

The Pelvic Floor Workshop is perfect for you if you're curious about why your pelvic floor matters, but you're just not sure why. Because no ones ever talked to you  about this before in a way that makes sense to you.

This workshop is for you if...

The pelvic floor muscles are a bit of a mystery to you.

You've been told you need to strengthen your pelvic floor.

You've been told you need to relax your pelvic floor.

You're not sure how to either strengthen or relax your pelvic floor.

You have symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction that may include some of the following; tight hips, tight or sore low back, leaking, prolapse, pelvic girdle pain, a pooched low belly, tight neck and shoulders.

You want a clear strategy to restore pelvic floor and core health and you're curious about cultivating a sustainable bodycare practice.

This workshop is ideal for you if you're under the care of a pelvic floor therapist and you want to learn more about how to connect with and integrate your pelvic floor into the way you move your body.

This workshop is also ideal for you if you're not under the care of a pelvic floor therapist, but you feel a bit concerned your pelvic floor might not be working as it should, or you have a family history of prolapse or leaking and you want to learn how to care for your pelvic floor and where you can get more help if you decide you need it.

What we cover in these workshops will be both preventative AND rehabilitative in nature. As in, this is the work I teach to both help prevent pelvic floor issues from occurring AND also the work I teach to support people to rehabilitate after injury.

This workshop is not for you if you have no interest in the pelvic floor, or pelvic health, or the way in which the pelvic floor underpins breathing, stress, core and low back and hip health, as well as prolapse, incontinence and pelvic girdle pain.

This Pelvic Floor workshop is part of a four part series which include's the following workshops, specific dates to be confirmed:

1. Monday FEBRUARY 28th 12.30 -1.45 pm - Release & Activate your pelvic floor.

2. JUNE - Breathing - The Pelvic Floor Piston, how the way you breath impacts your pelvic floor.

3. SEPTEMBER - Abdominals - gather and connect. How your pelvic floor connects and coordinates with your deep abs.

4. DECEMBER - Glutes - all about the relationship between your pelvic floor and your glute muscles.

These are the fundamental themes I teach most often when working with people wanting to prepare for birth and to rehabilitate their body from birth or pelvic floor dysfunction.

The ideas you'll learn in the workshops take time and consistent practice to integrate into your body. Which is why I offer regular online Motherbody movement classes here, so you have support and accountability to practice what we cover in the workshops.

You can do one single workshop, or join all of them. Each workshop covers the pelvic floor from a different perspective in relation to your pelvis and how your body moves.

Hi, I'm Sophie!

I love supporting women to nurture and restore their bodies before and after giving birth.

I'm an integrative movement practitioner, postpartum corrective exercise specialist, pilates teacher, shiatsu therapist, and postpartum doula trained in the Body Ready Method.

I'm also a mama of two young children based in Melbourne, Australia, and have a knack for thinking up ways you can support your body inside tiny pockets of time and without exhausting yourself.

The Pelvic Floor Workshop will help you to prepare your pelvic floor for birth and/or rehabilitate your postnatal pelvic floor after birth.

You'll learn how to work kindly and consistently to connect with and both activate and release your pelvic floor, which will help decrease tension, pain, and leaking.

If you feel a bit squishy, lost, and fragile after birth, or a bit worried as to how baby is going to get out, this workshop will support you to create more space in your pelvis, foster strength for motherhood, release and decrease tension, and feel like yes, you can trust your incredible body again.
